About Varfell Farms
Varfell Farms is the largest grower and packer of daffodils in the world. Based on over 3500 acres of Cornish land every year we process 500 million hand-picked daffodils.
Our origins as a part of the local community dates back to 1885 and we have grown a lot since then. Today we not only specialise in daffodils, but we are also an emerging producer of summer flowers such as Peony, Brodiaea and Agapanthus.
At Varfell we are passionate about the local environment. We champion our regenerative farming techniques and have enrolled in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. We are also very proud to say that we have environmental accreditations from LEAF and Global Gap.
With all our daffodils being handpicked we are always in need of another pair of hands. Due to the unique Cornish climate our Daffodil season goes from late December right through to April. During the season we hire over 650 seasonal staff. Often returning year on year these people form the heart of our farm’s community and with many living in our on-site accommodation, it is impossible not to feel part of the team.
